Take Your Pills: Xanax offers an insight in the drug’s proliferation over the years, featuring interviews with medical professionals and academics who discuss the pros and cons while users share their personal experiences and stories.

Together with the team at Blue Spill we were involved from very early stages into the development of a visual language for the documentary. Blue Spill worked on the previous Take Your Pills doc and the aim was for these new graphics to be different and have their own style.

During the project I created various styleframes for the different graphics needed in the show (explainers, social media, documents, journals…). I am proud my illustrations got chosen to become the overall look for the medical explainers. It was really great (and challenging) for me to be able to create and animate illustrations, not having trained as an illustrator/animator, but I am pleased by my results.
